I spent forever on this page. I love spending time with Roosevelt! He’s always great for a laugh and I feel like the last two pages have been particularly successful! Can you spot the sci-fi references in this page? Pretty obvious, I know…

A quick note: last week’s cameo was by Galaxxor created by Nerd City’s Ben Spencer.

So I’d like to take second and recommend two things to my readers:

The first one is a Kickstarter project by my friend and fellow webcomicker Randy Field. The project is called QuickSilver: The Great AirShip Race it’s a steampunk airship game that Randy has been working tirelessly on for the last two years and it looks fantastic! Please take a look at the video consider pledging.

The second recommendation is a book I’m late on reading, Asterios Polyp by David Mazzucchelli (best known as the artist on Batman:Year One).  I didn’t purchase this in 2009 for two reasons: price and intimidation. In spite of hearing wonderful things about it, I feared I would purchase a book that would be too dense to get into and end up a costly coffee table book. I was wrong. I found it to be both affordable and easily penetrable. The book is a perfect merger of story, art and design. I highly recommend it, especially to people in creative fields.
